For the love of hardwood flooring

There are some floor coverings that never seem to age, and hardwood flooring is one of them. Always on top of the current trends, and always adding to the elegance of any home, these floors just maintain their stunning good looks for what seems like ever. The timelessness it offers is due, in part, to the extensive lifespan it offers. Easily reaching 100 years of age, some have been found to last much longer, as you can see in some historic buildings around the nation. What’s more, the durability stands on its own, offering a functional space for even the busiest family.

At Conn's Flooring, you’ll get the pleasure of having the Shop at Home experience, right from the comfort of your own home. That means you’ll be able to shop and browse to your heart’s content. Any time, day or night, we are available and you’re sure to find something that suits your needs perfectly in our extensive flooring line. Browse through everything, or hone in on exactly what you’re looking for because you’ll enjoy every moment of the experience. We currently serve the areas of Port Arthur, Beaumont, and Woodlands, TX, and we’d love the opportunity for you to shop with us as well.

Hardwood facts you should know

There are some important facts that you should know right away if you think hardwood flooring might be right for you. For instance, this material can never be installed below grade, such as in basements or any basement level room. There are many other materials you can choose from that will be perfect for this space, and some of them even have the wood look as well. Be sure to research alternatives such as engineered flooring or waterproof luxury vinyl flooring.

Another important factor is the acclimation process. Hardwood flooring must be acclimated to your specific environment for a period of between 24 and 72 hours prior to installation. This process allows it to “get used to” the environment in which it’s going to be placed so you won’t have to worry about cracking, splitting, or warping of the materials. This process must be adhered to for a successful installation, but even more so to see that your floors reach their expected lifespan.

Personalize these floors by choosing the perfect wood species, stain color, and finish type. It’s easy to match your decor and you’ll absolutely love the results.
